He who starts has already overcome fifty percent of the hurdles on the path to success โ he's subdued the enemy called fear of beginning. The fear of starting is the main reason many great ideas remain only in the minds that conceived them, or in the archives of the notes where they were written.
Though starting is key to achieving any goal, staying the course to the end matters just as much. Not up to fifty percent of the human race consciously channel their thoughts toward a definite purpose. Among those who do, not up to thirty percent write their thoughts down as a plan of action. Even among those who write, not up to twenty percent take the courage to put the plan to work. And among those who start, not up to five percent stay the course until the end, no matter the obstacles.
It is those who cross the finish line who stand a chance of winning the prize.
